As it turns out, cold fusion is real and reproducible at least 25% of the time. It should be funded, debugged and developed, but it represents a potentially decentralized technology. Valid science has been suppressed, advocates have died mysteriously. In some cases, national security gag orders are issued to prevent technology from going public. There have been many scientists working on ways to make efficient use of the free energy all around us— heat, wind, sunlight, electromagnetism, even zero-point energy. Why haven't these technologies reached the market? I don't know. In some cases, they might have been hoaxes. In some cases, they might not be cost-effective. But in some cases, it appears that untimely deaths have been the deciding factor. While this topic is difficult to understand and evaluate, the potential payoff is nothing less than what's needed to save the earth from the current fossil fuel end game.
